Culinary Crew
Lexi Orlan, RD
Lexi has long had a passion for nutrition, which led her to become a Registered Dietitian. Having earned her Bachelor’s of Science in dietetics from the University of Delaware, completed her dietetic internship at Rutgers University, and obtained her Masters of Science in nutrition education from Columbia University, she plans to use her knowledge to help others achieve their optimal health. When it comes to her nutrition philosophy, Lexi believes all foods fit.
Lexi has been working alongside Abbie Gellman since February 2019, assisting with behind the scenes content for social media and blog writing. Since then, Lexi has expanded to working under Abbie and Julie’s Culinary Nutrition Workshops, where she hosts webinars and conducts research.
Outside of nutrition, Lexi is also a Registered Yoga Teacher. She enjoys both practicing and teaching yoga, as well as taking pilates classes. In addition, Lexi loves fashion, traveling, and spending time with her dog, Bella.
Sam Moll, RD
Sam’s work in nutrition started in the dirt, farming vegetables for four years in rural Pennsylvania. There, while turning the season’s bounty into delicious dinners and tangy ferments, he learned that food is something to celebrate and a cornerstone of resilient communities. Through an M.S. program at Hunter College, Sam dug deeper into the science of food and nutrition, and in 2020, became a Registered Dietitian.
Currently, he integrates medical nutrition therapy, culinary nutrition, and mindfulness into his role as a Clinical Dietitian at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He also works in the community leading mindfulness classes for the Sylvia Center, a youth culinary program, and assists Abbie and Julie with their Culinary Nutrition Workshops!
Corinne Levy, Chef
Corinne Levy is a 2020 graduate of Johnson & Wales University with an associate degree in Culinary Arts and a bachelor’s in Culinary Nutrition. After gaining experience working in kitchens both small and large, Corinne started sharing her expertise with others by working with Farm Fresh Rhode Island’s Nutrition Education Program. There she was able to teach older adults in the community about seasonal foods, the benefits of local markets, and how to cook some delicious recipes!
Her passion for cooking and teaching continued when she began her senior internship working for Julie Harrington RD. During that time she had the pleasure of teaching virtual classes, assisting behind the scenes at Julie and Abbie’s workshops, and creating informational culinary nutrition graphics and videos. Now, Corinne is very excited to continue working with Julie, Abbie, and the rest of the team at CN Studio. Corinne’s ultimate goal is to help people feel happy & healthy; bridging the gap between culinary skills and nutrition education is a way to reach that dream.
Outside of the kitchen, Corinne loves hiking, roller skating, crafting, and spending time with her cats Kirby & Autumn.
